In the author’s own words:
My love for fishing began when I was seven years old and my dad took me perch fishing on Vermillion Creek. We fished a dark pool of water with a cane pole, a bobber and worms or grasshoppers for bait. The bobber would sink under, and we most likely pulled out fat yellow and green sunfish or perch. I will never forget the sounds and smells of the creek on a summer day while fishing with my dad. I was hooked from there on.
